The Studfix Clamp was specifically designed to replace corroded, rusted or broken exhaust manifold studs on Ford trucks as well as some other vehicles. The clamp slides over your truck’s manifold ear and reattaches your down-pipe and flange to the exhaust manifold, fixing the exhaust leak. It is a revolutionary product that should be in any exhaust or transmission shop’s box of go-to solutions for broken exhaust manifold studs. Even if you are a DIY mechanic, the simplicity and inexpensive nature of this product make it ideal for anyone who is looking to replace broken exhaust manifold studs on their Ford car or light truck.
See below for Installation Instructions or our Compatibility Page to see if our clamp will fit your vehicle.
Installs in 5 Easy Steps
Remove remaining nuts (if any) from studs and slide flange down from manifold connection.
Use a cutting torch, hand held saw, sharp chisel, hammer, or whatever it takes, remove the original studs so they’re flush with the bottom side of the manifold.
*You may not have to do this if your studs are completely rusted off.
Slide Studfix clamp over the ears of the manifold and if possible hook the clamp over the topside of the remaining stud.
(See Examples Images HERE)
Slide the exhaust flange and down-pipe up onto the Studfix.
Attach the included nuts to the threads of the Studfix and tighten to manifold.
